Through a compassionate and purposeful collaboration, the Greater Love Foundation in collaboration with Reflo Company Ltd and The Florence Mensah Foundation partnered to deliver ‘Project Pad A Girl’, an initiative aimed at promoting menstrual equity and empowering young women in Accra.
Held under the theme “Menstrual Equity for All: Empowering Her,” the project provided sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene education to kayayoo (head porters) and other less privileged young women. The event took place in the heart of Accra Central and sought to break taboos, raise awareness and uplift vulnerable groups often left out of essential health conversations and menstrual hygiene support.
Eunice Esaaba Essien, a Miss Ghana 2022 finalist, established the Greater Love Foundation in 2022 during her pageant journey. Her vision has always been to transform lives and spread joy especially among the underserved. She stated that “Our mission is to empower the less privileged through compassionate service, fostering a brighter future for all,” she added.
The Florence Mensah Foundation with its deep focus on African women and girl-child education and advocacy, contributed wholeheartedly to awareness campaigns and menstrual hygiene education. The vision of the Greater Love Foundation aligns greatly with The Florence Mensah foundation, hence their collaboration.
